Photos from ACBS Rendezvous on June 10!

Moes Marine, the Vermilion Boat Club and the City of Vermilion welcomed the members and boats of the Antique & Classic Boat Society’s NorthCoast Chapter for their Annual Season Kick-Off Rendezvous on June 10.  The sky was clear and the sun was hot, but everyone found shade and conversation on the VBC lawn or inside the Moes Marine shop!

Boats came by water from as far as Sandusky and Cleveland and by trailer from Chicago.  I’m assembling a portfolio of all the boats and their stories and hopefully I’ll get that up here on the website soon.

We had several local photographers at the boatyard and they came up with some great shots!  Check out this post for links to their albums.

If you would like to see some of these boats in person, feel free to take a walk through the boatyard or you can check out the next ACBS gathering.  The next rendezvous for the ACBS NorthCoast Chapter is this coming weekend at the Portage Lakes Boat Show.  See their website for further information.

Yes… you can still get your very own Moes Marine Service T-shirt!

About Mike

I pinch myself every day... I can't believe I'm back in Vermilion working at the boatyard! I grew up spending afternoons and summer days working at Moes Marine. I moved to Boston after college and met my wonderful wife, Maura, while living life in the big city and working at Boston BoatWorks. We traveled and volunteered abroad for 9 months in 2009 and then found our way back to our families in Ohio. We are now living in downtown Vermilion with our son, Owen, who visits the boatyard daily at coffee break!
